Flexispot offers some of the more affordable standing desk solutions. The brand offers entry-level and midrange desks, but they also have a couple of premium options that sell for over 1000 dollars. But it’s more known for being affordable yet sturdy at the same time.
Though in terms of the aesthetics, these are more of the minimalist, plain Jane desks, not too corporate looking, Thus, these are also great picks for home offices.
And there are several units that you can choose from, which can be confusing at first since most resemble the same. So we will list down the different desk options from the brand so that you can cherry-pick from there.

This is a particular Flexispot desk that veers away from the usual look of the brand. This unit is available in either a glass or a bamboo top. And the glass top reminds us of the Seville Classics Airlift.
Comhar only has a single motor but it does offer more functionalities than a dual-motor Flexispot, say, the Kana Pro. But of course, it will have a less load capacity since it only has a single muscle working for it.
But no one can argue that it’s a chic-looking desk with a sleeker profile. We especially adore the glass top.
The Comhar offers a central drawer. And the desks make use of an advanced keypad with 4 memory presets, that is embedded within the unit. You also have 3 USB ports to charge your phones and other gadgets. This is one of a few units that is already configured with a more upgraded control panel.
So we are looking at this working for the young entrepreneur who has several gadgets to use at once. Though it does have its limitations with its less than 500 dollar mark. You will not be able to charge your laptop. And oh, the charging might halt momentarily while the desk is adjusting.
The additional storage space is great for keeping laptops and light office supplies. So it can be a complete set up for a less busy workstation. You might not need to buy a small filing cabinet.
If Jarvis has their bamboo desk, this is a more affordable option. It is very similar to the Fully number, but it has more of a simpler functionality. Though you have the option to enjoy more muscles by choosing the frame, all will come with just the basic up and down button.
Despite that limitation, you can still choose from a curved or a rectangular tabletop. So in terms of the aesthetics, you’d have more options.
With an E5 frame, it can go as high as the Jarvis. Thus it can be enjoyed by those who stand 6’0-6’2”. So we’re seeing this as a cheaper alternative to the famous Jarvis bamboo.
Alternatingly, you can also see a Kana Pro bamboo unit on the brand’s website. The main difference is that it has a higher weight capacity of 275 lbs. So this should come close to what Jarvis can bear.
It also has an advanced keypad button with a USB port and a cable management tray. So it’s definitely an upgrade from the previous model.
This unit comes with a laminated 4-splice tabletop. So it adds an interesting charm to the desk. And like the other models that we have mentioned, we did not have any issues with the transporting, there is no shaking, for as long as you do not go beyond the loading capacity.
That’s also what we love about the brand. Albeit the affordable cost, you can expect these to not give up just like that.
You can also buy the Seiffen in an L- shaped version. Though this is more of a light-duty desk and only has a 121 lb weight capacity. And the extension table looks more like the other end of the desk is extended then contoured as opposed to a regular L-shaped top.
Going back, the Seiffen spliced desk might not be your cup of tea if you love traditional-looking units. This might look like it’s the separate pieces of wood chucked together. But it did a lot in making it look eclectic and fun. It might even look a bit racy, which can be an option for gaming
This unit also has the advanced memory preset. And this is perhaps the only Flexispot unit that can go as high as 50 “. This is the brand’s best option for taller users, 6’-6’2”.
So the surface is wide at 55”, but it looks like you can only do basic zoning. But you get the same advanced keypad with 4 memory presets.
What’s nice about this unit? It’s a different take from the other L-shaped desks. It looks more contoured and it looks like it’s still one unit since it has two legs. Most will have 3 to four legs to support the wider and bigger tabletop. But this also means that it can bear less weight.
This will suit those who need to allocate just a separate space for maybe their phones or light supplies but still need a large desk to work on.
The VICI desk is made for those who don’t have time to put up their workstation. This is Flexispot easiest and quickest to install. That’s the main catch.
And when it comes to stability, we are quite content with it. This is more of a light-duty unit since it only has about 110 load capacity, but it will not shake at any moment for as long as you’re not overloading it.
This can be a great pick for those living alone in dorms or apartments. Since you might not have the luxury of space to lay out all the parts on the floor to match A to B, this will make your life easier.
And though it’s not really perfect for really tall dudes, as long as you do not go beyond 6”, then you can find it comfortable to work on.
It is very light on the pocket too. This is a great starter’s desk. If you’re new to standing desks, it will not give you a headache during the setup. But the functionalities are also basic, the keypad lacks a memory preset, but it still transitions quite smoothly.
Oh, we have to mention that the Vici also comes in a duplex tabletop option. It offers a second-tier and has a slightly higher weight capacity of 132 lbs.
It is also a single motor unit but we find the Vici quick to install quieter when moving.. And of course, it is quicker to set up. And the quick install Vici also has a thicker tabletop of 1”, and the double-tiered only has a .7” thick chipboard top. so that could explain why the duplex type is cheaper.
This gorg desk can also come in the running with the infamous bamboo tabletop of Jarvis. It’s also sustainably harvested from cherry wood or rubber trees. It’s also free from chemicals so it can be used by younger teens too. You also will not get worried if you’ll set this desk in the bedroom, you will not inhale fumes while you’re sleeping.
If you love true wood textured tops, this is an affordable option.
And since it has 3 frame choices, you can have the desk go higher by getting a Pro 3 stage. We do love the flexibility this particular frame gives. It has quite a wide scope of users. This frame can go as low as 22 “ and as high as 48”. So it can work for both petite & small users and those who stand less than 6 feet.
You can also get the desk in a variety of sizes, with a 72” desk the biggest option. So this also offers a gorgeous and functional space for someone who needs lots of room. You can also do basic zoning with a desktop this size.
Willow solid wood
Now if you love solid wood tops but find the Pro a bit out of your range, this is a downgrade that will not really feel like one.
You still can enjoy a lovely walnut top and it does cost more or less 100 dollars cheaper compared to the rubber or cherry tree top.
The difference with the Pro, aside from the top, is the control panel. This comes with a more basic up and down arrow button, but everything is pretty much the same, depending of course on what type of frames you’re going to configure it with.
Except for the memory presets, it functions the same as the Willow pro. When it’s paired with a stage 3 frame, it can also go as fast as the Pro at 1.5”/ second. They also have pretty much the same height range.
So the differences really are all in the control panel and the tabletop. You will love this unit more if you favor darker tables. So this has a more vintage or traditional vibe going on while the Pro has a more contemporary feel.
Let’s talk about the Flexispot frames
Alternatively, you can also buy the frame and pair it with a different table top piece.
We’ll dabble a bit on the frames since we have also mentioned the specs of each above.
The EC1 mostly referred to as the E1 or E2 on the site is the entry-level offering. The load capacity is suitable for those who are just starting to work.
The 110 lbs can suffice for a minimal setup. And since it has an up and down arrow button only, it will be perfect if one person is using the desk.
The EN1, on the other hand, has a memory preset and has a slightly higher weight capacity of 154 lbs. So it’s a tad higher than that of the standard unit, EC1. Both are great options for starters or those on a budget but need an electric standing desk.
The E5 and the E3 are mashed together on one page of the brand’s site, they do share the same specs. Weight capacity is 220 lbs, so it can be a midrange desk for a moderate setup. And since it comes with 3 memory presets, it can be an upgrade from the EN1.
The E8 frame goes higher by a notch, the max desk height is 49”, and it also has a higher bearing capacity of 275 lbs. Most of the frames go up as high as 48″, which is perfect for 5’9”-5’10”. And the E8 can be comfortable for 5’10”-6” tall folks.
The E9 is similar to the E1/E2 because of its load capacity, but it will offer a more advanced keyboard. So still, it’s a great pick for beginners. Or to those who don’t want to keep guessing at what height they left off.
Is it better to buy the entire package or just the frames?
Flexispot offers one of the stable yet affordable pieces for home office or corporate setup.
And you also have the liberty to buy just the frame or the entire package. And since most of the frames are width adjustable, it will not be hard to find a top from a brand that you fancy.
Aesthetically, there are some pieces that stood out to us. The Comhar glass and the Kana bamboo are aesthetically pleasing. We specifically love the Comhar function-wise too.
But here’s the thing, though the top options are decent, clean, and minimalist, there are other options out there that can stand out more with the same tag or even less.
Though the Seiffen and the Kana veer away from the standard look, the majority of them look almost the same, cohesive wise that’s good. But if you want to go over the top, it will not be enough.
Another beauty of these frames is that since they are width adjustable, they will be very accommodating.
